Africa’s projected GDP growth leaders in 2027 are telling an interesting story.

2. 🇬🇳 Guinea: 7.8%
3. 🇪🇹 Ethiopia: 7.8%
4. 🇨🇮 Côte d’Ivoire: 6.1%
5. 🇹🇿 Tanzania: 5.9%

Uganda’s projected growth jumps from 6.2% in 2026 to 9.9% in 2027.

Ethiopia remains a major growth leader, but Uganda is projected to overtake it.

The question is whether this growth will translate into a bigger economy and help Uganda close the GDP gap with Tanzania.
