Pterocarpus Angolensis is a tree found in South Africa, Angola, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini, Tanzania, DR Congo, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

It is native to Southern Africa.

It is called Bloodwood Tree because when it's chopped, a deep red sap which looks like blood comes from the tree.
