South Sudan's President Salva Kiir has appointed his son, 36-year-old Major General Atem Salva Kiir as the Commander of the Presidential Guard.
He appointed his son, Thiik Salva Kiir Mayardit as a Deputy Executive Director in the Presidency in 2021.
