SERIOUS ACCIDENT ALONG KAMPALA - MBARARA ROAD
On August 28th, 2023, at around 110 AM, a serious accident occurred along the Kampala-Mbarara Road. The incident involved a Global bus with registration number UBB 985M.
The driver lost control due to the slippery road conditions caused by heavy rain. The accident happened at Kyekurura, shortly after Kinoni center in Lwengo District, part of Greater Masaka.
One person sustained serious injuries in the accident. Local authorities and bystanders swiftly responded, transporting the injured individuals to nearby health centers. Ambulances are being awaited to transfer them to Masaka Referral Hospital for further medical attention.
We caution all drivers particularly on slippery roads during this rainy season to avoid speeding to prevent such accidents. Further updates will be provided in due course.
